Thought of the Day....

Okay, so i had this other idea of what i might write in here today...but i got interested in a whole other subject. What ever happened to customer service. Now i have every right to mention this since i am working in a form of customer service. First of all mom and i decided we wanted some Timmy HO HOs and so we went through the drive-thru. I asked for a muffin heated with butter...not too hard i thought. We get up to the window, get my muffin and as we are drivin away i pull out my muffin and said,"oh wow, this is a different kind of heated and buttered". As in, there was no signs of butter and I'd say it was very far from heated. It's on the freakin computer there....can they not read? Do they not listen? Now, if this was something that rarely happened I wouldn't mention it...not so much....it happens all the time at any Tim Hortons. I've now decided that the requirement for working there is....there are none!
From there mom and I drove to Future Shop...you see my mom had bought a vacuum from them about a year ago. She goes in...some guy didn't have the time of day to help her out so she asked another guy. He proceeds to tell her they don't sell the bags for that vacuum anymore. Who sells a vacuum and doesn't sell the bags to go with it??? Aswell, the people working there were really no help what-so-ever ..they didn't care.
Last but not least...we went to Bradford Greenhouse for mom to see if they had a particular bench she wants...well they had one on the floor but it looked pretty sketchy. Mom asked the lady if that was the only one or if there were more in the back. She said no. And mom asked if that one was really $199.oo...cause it didn't look worth that amount. The lady walks over with mom and looks at the bench and mom mentions the water marks all over it (it looked like it had been outside for loooooong time). The lady was like, "Ya, well it was outside".........no shit Sherlock! Needless to say mom didn't buy it. :)
Maybe it's not the lack of customer service that has been irritating me lately...maybe it's just stupid people that bug me. :) Maybe it's just me????
Anywho, that's my thought of the day....next week i might conduct a fun survey. Hint:favourite hair colour. We'll see if i remember.

I've had those stupid people/bad customer service days... That's where the expression "people are bastard covered bastards with bastard-filling" comes in to make me feel better. It could be rearranged to say "people are stupid-covered stupids with stupid filling" - ooh, I like the sound of it!
Also, I bought my vacuum at Target when I got here... they don't sell the bags. I have to order them on the internet...

hey...happened at my work today! I had to charge a women 15% restocking charge on $50 of returned items when she was exchanging for $150 worth of items. Of course i felt bad for her and she decided not to spend the money. So she did a straight exchange...after she left my boss got mad at me for not waiving the charge...even though i approached him 4 times and he spoke to the customer...it's all my fault, thank go i am quitting on friday!
